Gregg SMITH - DR APAC's Regional Manager for Japan, Korea and the Philippines, with the help of Sicame Australia, organized a visit to Australia by the JCAA (Japan Power Cable Accessories Association). The Group's objective was to exchange knowledge and network construction methods in order to research alternative energy distribution methods and new products.

The visit to the Brisbane site included a tour of the factory, a visit to Sicame Australia's head office in Yatala, and a presentation of the Group's products, including PIRANHA connectors, MV underground accessories for underground networks and MTRS-type junctions for overhead applications. A meeting with local utility representatives was also organized to gain a better understanding of the practices and implementation of distribution network products for future deployment in Japan.

The visit was an excellent opportunity for DR APAC and SBU Distribution to become more closely associated with the Japan Advanced Industries Association, and to foster fruitful business relations for the future.
